MERC LAPIDUS
Played by John Pankow

Merc is a long-time television executive and producer with an enviable resume. He is also a dangerous infant. He’s willful and mercurial and has the attention span of a gnat. He greets everyone he meets – friends and strangers alike – with a hug.  But he has the eyes of a killer and puts himself first over relationships. Even when Merc is down, you can never count him out.


JOHN PANKOW
John Pankow has created memorable characters in many noted films, including TO LIVE AND DIE IN LA, MORTAL THOUGHTS, LIFE AS A HOUSE, TALK RADIO, THE SECRET OF MY SUCCESS, and more recently MORNING GLORY and PUTZEL. He was a regular on the hit television series MAD ABOUT YOU and recurred on two critically-acclaimed series, ALLY MCBEAL and THE DAYS AND NIGHTS OF MOLLY DODD. Pankow has also been featured on the programs THE GOOD WIFE, LAW & ORDER: LA, WITHOUT A TRACE, and LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT.
 
A veteran stage actor, Pankow has appeared in numerous New York Shakespeare Festival productions, including this season's MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, THE TEMPEST, MEASURE FOR MEASURE, HENRY V, and TWO GENTLEMAN OF VERONA. Pankow appeared Off-Broadway in Kenny Lonergan's MEDIEVAL PLAY at the Signature Theater and in the Off-Broadway revival of William Inge's NATURAL AFFECTION. Broadway credits include AMADEUS, CYMBELINE, SERIOUS MONEY, TWELVE ANGRY MEN, and THE ICEMAN COMETH.
